Ora che il Marigold Hotel è pieno di clienti che si trattengono per periodi prolungati, i due co-direttori Muriel Donnelly (Maggie Smith) e Sonny Kapoor (Dev Patel) sognano di ingrandirsi, e hanno appena trovato il posto ideale per farlo: il secondo Marigold Hotel. Evelyn e Douglas (Judi Dench e Bill Nighy) si avventurano a Jaipur con un piano di lavoro in mente, chiedendosi a cosa porterà il loro appuntamento fisso a colazione.
